Like Jen said in her post, Fuse 8 has finished announcing the top 100 Children’s Chapter books.  Abby (the) Librarian posted which ones she had read, then Jen did, and now I want to.  🙂  I’ve read the ones in bold.  (And I’ve only included the ones I remember reading, so some of them I may actually have read as a kid, but who really remembers for sure.)

    Okay, I’m just posting mine in the comments! I was at 62–but some I’m just guessing because I’m pretty sure I read them (for example Henry Huggins–I read lots of Henry books so I’m assuming I read that one). Also, this list has just once again forced me to hang my head in shame that I have not read A Wrinkle in Time. However, I have read every Roald Dahl on that list 🙂 The only top ten book that I question is Holes, which may just be that I was a bigger fan of Wayside Stories…althought Holes did turn me into an Onion-lover which I way appreciate…

    oh and PS Jill–you should still totally call yourself a Children’s librarian!!! If this had been more contemporary stuff you would have blown me out of the water–I only got above half on this list because there was so much Roald Dahl and Beverly Cleary!

    #5 is one of my all-time favorite books, ever since my fourth grade teacher read it aloud to my class.
