Processional musings…

Good evening dear NGT readers,

I have spent a lot of today thinking about wedding music (the day is looming ever closer as we read).  I have been poring through bunches of websites that proclaim to know more than any other website about weddings and which songs are the best.  I really like the idea of walking down the aisle to Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, but HWSNBNITB’s older sister used it at her wedding last year…so I don’t really want to do a repeat even though it is beautiful.

So then I was poking around trying to decide on some other song and I found Romance in F by Beethoven and I think I’ve decided on a song… I think.  I’m not totally set on it 100% yet, but I really like it and I really think it’s a Lindsay kind of song.  I’ve posted 2 videos below.  The first one is Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring – It’s the only video I could find (OK, it’s the first one I found) that had alright sound quality and that didn’t have anyone singing to it, and it has some words in spanish on the screen (go ahead and ignore that…or don’t) and then shows a bunch of nature pictures.  The second video is Romance in F by Beethoven.  It’s just a picture of a rose the whole way through, so that was cool with me since I only wanted to listen to the music.  Mmmm…I kind of want to take a bit out of that rose – doesn’t it look delicious with all it’s water droplets?

They are both beautiful pieces, but I think I like the second one better. I already have my processional music picked out, but I don’t think I will be needing it for a very, very long time.
